MONDAY MOMENTS WITH MICHELLE – I’m NEVER too busy for YOU!

Welcome to Episode 4!

 

Quite often, a buyer will call me regarding one of my listings and request a viewing. I am more than happy to promote my listing! That’s my job. Get the home SOLD. Before I commit to an appointment though, I always ask the potential buyer whether they are working with a Realtor®. It is important for me to make it clear from the start that I work solely for the Seller and that the Seller’s best interests comes first and foremost. Let me explain why I have started here…

 

On many an occasion, a buyer will answer, “Yes, I have a Realtor® but I don’t want to bother him because he is always so busy! I will call him if I find a house I want to put an offer on.”

 

I point out to the represented buyer that this is their agent’s job; to show houses to them and to help them find a home to purchase. I always urge, “Please give your Realtor® a call. He’ll be happy to schedule a showing. In fact, he’ll be more than happy to hear from you!”

 

Often, throughout my day, I am asked by people I come in contact with if I am busy. I’m sure many people ask that just to gauge what the real estate market is currently doing, or maybe they’re just making conversation. Sometimes they ask the question just to figure out whether I have time for THEM. The answer, in part, is “YES”. I’m always trying to keep myself busy; making phone calls, meeting past clients, networking, writing contracts, taking courses. The list goes on. Keeping busy doesn’t mean that I’m ever too busy for you.

 

Real Estate is a PEOPLE business. It is a relationship business. Without people, I wouldn’t have a job. I look forward to helping people and forming new relationships. I carefully plan out my week and my days selecting the days and times for my “busy work” and leave ample time slots to concentrate on the core of my business - YOU. I try to answer all messages and emails in a timely manner so that you don’t feel ignored or insignificant.

 

Contrary to what many believe, I do not work for Royal LePage Kelowna. I work under the tried and trusted name of Royal LePage. Realtors® cannot provide trading services without being under the supervision of a real estate brokerage. I am an independent business person; self-employed. This is both my business and my livelihood. Being too busy for a client would be extremely counterproductive.

 

I provide real estate trading services. These include:

  • advising on the appropriate price for the real estate;
  • making representations about the real estate;
  • finding the real estate for a party to acquire;
  • finding a party to acquire the real estate;
  • showing the real estate;
  • negotiating the price of the real estate or the terms of the trade in real estate;
  • presenting offers to dispose of or acquire the real estate;
  • receiving deposit money paid in respect of the real estate.

I have listings and I have buyers; all of whom require pieces of my time. My plate is never too full. My services are never watered down.

 

Back to the beginning…

If you are working with a real estate agent, DON’T assume that they are too busy for your seemingly insignificant request. They, too, are independent business people. Call them. Engage them. Let them serve you!

 

I am a REALTOR®. This is my full-time job. This is not my hobby. I begin my day at 9 am and sometimes don’t finish until late. I chose this business to serve and help people to buy and sell homes. As such, I am never too busy for YOU!
